AFS seeking homes for students PDF Print E-mail

Letter to the Editor:

AFS-USA works toward a more just and peaceful world by providing  intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools and communities through a global volunteer partnership.  In addition to hosting students in the USA, AFS also sends American students abroad.

AFS students come with their own insurance and spending money.   Host families provide the student food, their own bed and a warm loving  home.   Students become a part of your family and live by family rules and help with family chores.

Students such as these will be arriving in August 2013 for the upcoming school year.  They speak English and are excited to attend an American school and be a part of your family and community.

Koshi, a male from Japan, enjoys playing soccer, riding a bike and listening to music.

Maxi, a female from Germany, is very fond of animals and enjoys riding horseback and decorating her room.

Fabio, a male from Germany, loves to cook, practice archery and martial arts, and enjoys spending time with his family.

Thitinat, a female from Thailand, enjoys extra-curricular clubs including math, science and English.  She enjoys knitting and plays the ukulele.

Your family could bring the world into your home by hosting an exchange student.  The experience can impact and change your lives in ways you could never have imagined.
