Anticipation for opening day still strong

YOU WOULD think the uncertainty of a late ice-out and the lowest walleye bag limits in the history of northern Wisconsin angling would dampen a person’s enthusiasm, yet my anticipation for opening day hasn’t faded.

I am once again looking forward to fishing with my son Kurt in May - not June, but May. The Indian tribes are not helping with bag limits on many lakes, but right now have the DNR in a state of doing nothing. It is time they get off their butts and make them understand that fishing is an equal sport for ALL citizens who buy a license. Like It Or Not!
