Big Brothers Big Sisters receive Plum Creek grant

The Plum Creek Foundation recently awarded a $1,000 grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Northwoods (BBBSN) to help fund mentoring programs in Vilas, Oneida, Price, Taylor and southern Ashland counties.

According to Lois Ruediger, board president of BBBSN, the mentoring programs rely on financial support from private foundation grants, donations and fundraising activities. The grant money will be used to finance background checks
