Pines choir, band students get honors at State Solo/Ensemble competition PDF Print E-mail

Northland Pines High School choir and band members attended the State Solo/Ensemble competition at UW-Stevens Point last Saturday, with 11 groups and individuals bringing home first ratings.

The students were under the direction of choir instructor Kate Janssen and band instructor Forrest Mann.

The results follow:

 

First rating

Madrigal singers: Allison Hartwig, Pamela Hartwig, Lauren Gonitzke, Aisha Calix, Angelique Gaffny, Kirsten Klessig, Victoria Schwenn, Katie Piper, Yvonne Polack, Jessica Anderson, Morgan Gurka, Samantha Hytry, Heather Klein, Lindsey Tienhaara and Hannah Bochek (perfect score).

She Major vocal jazz ensemble: Lauren Gonitzke, Aisha Calix, Kirsten Klessig, Victoria Schwenn, Katie Piper, Yvonne Polack, Jessica Anderson, Rebecca Anderson, Chelsea Allendorf and Amanda Curti

Soprano-soprano-alto double trio: Katie Piper, Jessica Anderson, Rebecca Anderson, Heather Klein, Cayla Tennikait and Amanda Curtis.

Soprano-alto duet: Jessica Anderson and Rebecca Anderson.

Soprano solo: Rebecca Anderson, Amanda Curtis and Allison Hartwig.

Musical theater: Rebecca Anderson.

Trumpet solo: Edward Stevens (perfect score).

Saxophone solo: Edward Stevens (perfect score).

Tuba solo: Samuel Puffer.

Piano solo: Emilie Robins (perfect score).

Violin solo: Emilie Robins
