Fishing improves with warmer temps

The North Woods is finally getting some summer-type warmth for more than a day or so. This is great news as far as getting those water temperatures up to normal after a late spring, get us through the mayfly hatch and into summer patterns for all fish.

Lake levels are much improved over last year, and weeds are now getting up to provide good cover throughout the area. Be aware that the bugs are out in full force because of all the rain, so take repellent with you when fishing or hiking. We haven’t seen the lake flies yet,
