Many Ways of Peace in downtown Eagle River recently announced it will host its July Peace Cafe Tuesday, July 16, from noon to 1 p.m.

This month’s topic is “Wisconsin Local Food Network — Coming Together to Create a Healthy Local Food System for All of Us,” presented by Debbie Ketchum Jircik of Eagle River.

Jircik, northern region board representative for Wisconsin Local Food Network and director of Many Ways of Peace, will share information about the statewide network and lead a discussion on how to nurture and support a healthy local food-system.

Soup prepared in the Peace Kitchen from local and organic ingredients will be served at noon, along with fresh-baked bread, fair trade coffee and iced tea.

The cost is $6 per person, and reservations may be made by contacting Many Ways of Peace.
