Will ‘invincibles’ doom Obamacare?

THEY ARE BEING called “the young invincibles.” They are the millions of young people around America who are taking the stand: “I don’t feel I should pay for something I don’t use. I shouldn’t be penalized for having good health.”

These healthy young people want to opt out of buying health insurance which is a keystone of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. The first year penalty for opting out is only $100. The penalty jumps to $695, or 2.5% of taxable income, whichever is more, by 2016.
