Government is like bad theater

MANY AMERICANS are convinced their elected leaders in Washington, and in most state capitols, have willingly turned their honorable commitment to public service into a career of self-service.

It is very popular nowadays to talk about the dysfunction rampant in state and federal government. Our legislative bodies have a very low approval and performance rating. It is very easy to understand this because the two parties seem to be deadlocked 50-50 and there is very little optimism for compromise.
