Pines, Three Lakes students top state, nation on ACT

Seniors in the Class of 2013 at Northland Pines and Three Lakes outperformed their peers at the state and national levels on their ACT scores, while Phelps seniors were above the national average.

Wisconsin students as a whole posted a composite score of 22.1 on the college admissions test, the same as the previous year. Meanwhile, the national composite score was 21.1.

Northland Pines seniors taking the test recorded a composite of 22.3, right at the school’s five-year average and above the state and national averages. Three Lakes saw its score drop to 22.8, but still highest among the three schools here. Phelps, which has the smallest school
