Foul play not suspected 
in death of Sayner woman

The re­mains of a Sayner woman, who was missing for 17 months, were recovered Friday after a deer hunter noticed clothing in a wooded location while he was trailing a wounded deer, according to Vilas County Sheriff Joe Fath.

Fath said the remains were identified as Sandra Schinke, 55, by a forensic odontologist in Madison Saturday. The cause of death is still under investigation, but foul play is not suspected, according to Fath.

The hunter reported to the sheriff’s department last Thursday
