Erwin C. ‘Bud’ Rappold PDF Print E-mail

Erwin C. “Bud” Rappold of Eagle River died Oct. 1, 2013, at his home. He was 88.

Mr. Rappold was born May 30, 1925, in Janesville to Charles and Florence Rappold.

He graduated from Janesville High School in 1943, and served in the Air Force during World War II as a bombardier.

He married Evora J. Johnston Oct. 24, 1953, in Janesville. They had two children, Jeffrey and Jean.

Mr. Rappold was employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1982.

He and his wife retired to the North Woods on Muskellunge Lake.

He was past president of Northern Lights Life Member Club of the Telephone Pioneers, and served on the board of the Muskellunge Lake Association.

Mr. Rappold was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald; and one sister, Lucille.

A memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 4, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Eagle River.

Interment was at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Appleton.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is established for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
