|City approves new contract for reassessment|
By Ken Anderson
The Eagle River City Council approved a contract for a reassessment of all real estate and personal property in the city at its meeting last week.
Hoffman Appraisal Services of Gleason was awarded the work at a cost of $42,500 Terry Vosburgh explained the need for the new assessments.
“Currently, your (assessments) are based on 2005 values and you need to be revalued since you have properties at 113% and it’s unfair to those above 100%,” Vosburgh said. “You must realize not all properties accrue or decrease the same.”
