Colder weather helping walleye, muskie anglers

By George Langley

Looking at the temperatures and weathers patterns, we are now entering the late fall period and things are looking good for the late fall anglers.

Water levels are much better than last year, and the water temperatures have now fallen into the 40s on most lakes. Turnover is finished, although some lakes are taking longer than normal to get cleaned up from that process. Anglers will soon be blessed with gin-clear water on all lakes.

The leaves of course are mostly gone now, giving hunters good fields of vision in the woods.
