Man charged for incident on Wall St.

An Eagle River businessman and former city councilman faces charges of battery and disorderly conduct in Vilas County Circuit Court for an alleged incident more than two years ago.

Andrew “Junior” Ludwig, 73, was served a complaint filed by special prosecutor Michael Steuer of Eau Claire County, alleging Ludwig injured a skateboarder on East Wall Street in 2011.

Court records indicate during an adjourned initial appearance Oct. 21, Ludwig told the court he hasn’t decided if he wanted an attorney and the court entered a not-guilty plea. A pretrial conference was scheduled for Nov. 6 and Ludwig was released on his own recognizance.
