Vilas County Sheriff

A total of 285 complaints were entered by Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week.

The department reported at least 15 vehicle accidents, four requests for an ambulance, one animal problem, nine requests for agency assistance, 14 burglar alarms, four requests for citizen assistance, four batteries, two reports of disorderly conduct, two domestic violence complaints, one instance of found property, four harassment complaints, one hit-and-run, one lost person, two threats,  three re­ports of hazardous conditions, one juvenile problem/runaway, four disturbances, 11 reports of suspicious circumstances, four thefts, 11 traffic violations,  three vacation checks, four welfare checks, 12 911 hang-ups and five drug problems.

At least nine calls were re­ferred to the Eagle River Police De­partment and there were at least 28 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least three people were booked at the Vilas County Jail, including one for trespassing.

During the week, the in­mate population ranged from 71 to 91. As of Nov. 3, there were 91 inmates.


Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were at least 24 calls for the Eagle River Police. These in­cluded one 911 hang-up, one vehicle accident, one request for agency assistance, one animal problem, one request for citizen assistance, two reports of criminal damage to property, one report of disorderly conduct, one report of found property, one gas drive-off, two harassment complaints, two informational reports, two reports of operating while intoxicated, two suspicious circumstances, one theft, three traffic violations, one trespassing complaint and on utility problem.



Three Lakes Police

This police department re­ported one 911 hang-up, two vehicle accidents, one alarm, one request for an ambulance, one animal problem, two reports of animals at large, two requests for agency assistance, one barking dog complaint, 16 business checks, three fires, four hazards, eight house checks, one neighbor complaint, one paper service, one parking violation, one report of found property, one reckless driving complaint, two reports of suspicious circumstances, two traffic stops, one vandalism complaint and one vehicle in a ditch.
