Bill Demlow, a 25-year resident of Conover and formerly of Waterloo and Watertown, died Friday, Nov. 1. He was 57.

Mr. Demlow was born  Feb. 6, 1956, to Armin and Lenore Demlow.  He married his wife, Shirley, May 2, 1981, in Beaver Dam.

He was employed at Chanticleer Inn as a bar manager for more than 20 years.  He owned and operated Monheim Guide Service for many years where he was known as “the Panfish Professor.”

His interests included many types of hunting and fishing, and Wisconsin sports.

As an ice fisherman, Mr.  Demlow was a member of the Jiffy Pro Staff. He was a member of the Eagle River Guide’s Association and a former member of Lions Club International.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Robert (Wendy Clarke) Bagneski of Waterloo, Jessica Hoeppner of Lake Mills, and Billy (Lisa) Bagneski of Waterloo; one brother, Martin (Barbara) of Huntington Woods, Mich.; one sister: Sherry (Donald) Martinson of Waukesha; and two granddaughters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Demlow family are appreciated.
