Will Obama, Democrats have egg on their faces? PDF Print E-mail

Letter to the Editor:

We know that the Democrats in Congress and President Barack Obama passed ObamaCare without a single Republican vote — thumbing their collective noses at the American people who overwhelmingly said “no.”

Then the Democrats and Obama shutdown the government to protect the individual mandate from a delay.

Now Senate Democrats and Obama are considering implementing the delay anyway.

Does this mean the President and the Democrats would have egg on their faces for shutting down the government for nothing?

Yes, in the real world. But in the world of mainstream media propaganda reminiscent of the old Eastern Block, ObamaCare was passed with Congress (no mention of 100% partisanship). American people are supportive of this law (a falsehood).

The Republicans shutdown the government (falsehood by Democrats, repeated by mainstream media).

ObamaCare problems were reluctantly discussed in mainstream media for weeks. It’s a wonderful law you know.

If the Democrats now agree to a delay, they will be heroes standing up for fairness and the rights of the American people — unlike those evil Republicans who shut down the government.

As George Orwell proclaimed, “In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

Quoting Frank Gabl:
John,

Get over it. Obamacare is over. PERIOD.

And in light of Barack Obama's serial lies, serial deceit and ultimate (sweet) failure of his signature "achievement" which will define liberalism for years to come, it is truly enjoyable and telling to watch you defend a fellow Alinsky disciple.

As a Republican, Scott Walker had no obligation to support a "Democrat health care law" by forming a state-run exchange partially-funded with his supporters taxpayer dollars.

And now with Obamacare in a well-deserved collapse, what a colossal waste of money that would have been.

Obamacare will work. it will just take some time. I'm just an IDIOT who lies about leaving these posts which everybody would love. PERIOD...

Of course they have egg on their faces. And I predict even more so after the President's news conference this a.m. So, he's now going to tell insurance companies to allow people to keep their previously cancelled coverages? Are you kidding? How is that supposed to take place in the insurance marketplace? Does anyone think that the resetting of millions of premiums to match whatever guidelines the President now will "allow" can happen instantaneously ? Or even within weeks? The insurance industry ought not be expected to absorb the hits again for an ill conceived, poorly designed and badly executed policy. What the President did not own remotely was the clearly political nature of his "you can keep your plan, period" statements and re-statements and re-re-statements. It rivals the finger wagging posturing of President Clinton.

Might be a good time for Congresspeople to actually read the bill and decide if it can actually be implemented.

Ian, if Walker would have set up a state exchange many of these prices would n fact be cheaper. In addition, how many were kicked off BadgerCare due to Walker? Facts are showing that the states like MN that have set up the exchanges are seeing a reduction in costs. Right now as a comparable, A Bronze plan in MN costs $144, in WI it costs $287!

http://www.citizenactionwi.org/report_mn_wi

Maybe those in this state that are seeing a higher rate should be placing a call or email into the Gov to ask WHY he chose to put the additinal costs onto the people of this state.

And it took Bill Clinton to tell President Barack Obama to live up to the promise 'you can keep your insurance". Buddy of mine here in Northern WI just had his insurance canceled due to the new legislation and isn't covered right now. Who's going to pay for an unforeseen major medical expense?

Looks like Obama is doing well compared to the Far Right Fringe Charlie....Obama is at 45%

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Meanwhile only 7% say Congress is doing a good job.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/congressional_performance

And the teaparty is at an all time low....28% say they see the 4-year-old grassroots conservative movement in a positive light.

John,

As the so-called “historian” that you say you are, you in fact are the one purposely distorting the history behind the re-election of your president by fabricating the narrative that Obama was re-elected to give him a chance to make good on "Democrat health-care" in light of the fact that everyone now knows Obama compulsively lied to the American people for the express purpose of deceiving them into “RE-ELECTING” him.

And your point to Bill about his side “owning the shutdown” is not only a distant memory because of Obama’s Nixon-like deception on ObamaCare, but vindicates the patriotic Tea Party Republicans who were sounding the alarm.

From my perspective, few things in life are more enjoyable than watching a serial liar with no moral code getting their just deserve on the national stage; especially one who’s attempting to “transform” the most prosperous nation into some two-bit socialist welfare state.
