Data shows more does, bucks being harvested on private land

There is a conception that landowners with antlerless permits fill them on public lands rather than their own private property, thereby presenting an obstacle to re­cruitment and herd growth on public forests.

While some of that belief is discussed around the tables at deer camps across the North Woods, the overall data for three years show more adult does and antlered bucks are harvested
