|Task force gets input on rural school issues|
By Gary Ridderbusch
School funding and high transportation costs were among the concerns issued by North Woods administrators at a public hearing held by the Task Force on Rural Schools.
Other topics at the Rhinelander hearing included improving high-speed Internet access at home and school and allowing local control on school start dates.
The Task Force on Rural Schools, chaired by Rob Swearingen (R-Rhinelander), had a second hearing scheduled for today in Elroy.
