Cold temps, slush limiting fishing effort
By George Langley

Another cold week has kept the number of fishermen heading out on the ice down as the conditions at this point are just hard on people.
Most lakes cannot be accessed by truck now and there is a fair amount of slush on many lakes. The good news is that some of the slush has frozen with the cold weather.
Lakes have had some settling of the snow with the stronger sun at this point and this pattern will intensify when it warms a little. The days are longer and the sun is definitely stronger.
