|Falcons split pair of hockey games|

Last Friday night the Eagle River Falcons lost a heartbreaker 6-5 on their home ice to the Calumet Wolverines and then traveled to Fond du Lac Saturday for an exhibition game with the Bears, posting an impressive 8-3 win.
Friday’s game was played in the Cube due to structural concerns of the roof on the Dome. The Eagle River Recreation Association board has canceled all scheduled activities in the Dome until the situation has been inspected by an engineer and determined safe.“It was quite different playing in the Cube with the larger sheet of ice and a smaller crowd,”
