Area residents dedicated to mission work in Haiti

Several area residents serve as volunteers or staff under the auspices of three different organizations and churches that minister in poverty-stricken Haiti.

Dr. “Painless” Pete Schindelholz of Land O' Lakes, Deacon Norm Mesun of Phelps, Tim Tosch of Eagle River and Karen Patterson of Three Lakes all volunteer to improve life for others in rural Haiti, a Caribbean country with more than 10 million people.
