She was born in Wausau, Wis., on Dec. 7, 1917, to Otto and Emma Klabunde.
Mildred was a member of the Phelps Congregational Church her entire life.She liked to read, go to the casino, go out to eat and play bingo where she lived. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary of any of her family or friends.
Mildred was known for always having a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her lips. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and looked forward to their visits.
Mildred is survived by her children, Donna (Melvin) Poyzer, Gerald (Barbara) Larson and Linda (John) Sparks; 10 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; brother, Arden Klabunde; and sister, Joyce Youngquist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Emma Klabunde; husband, Harold; son, Melvin; daughter, Rita Riihimaki; grandson, Mark Riihimaki; great-grandson, Corey Jefferson; great- granddaughter, Stephanie Poyzer; brother, Lawrence Klabunde; and sister, Fern Habeck.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Phelps Congregational Church on Friday, June 13, 2014. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Phelps Cemetery.
