Joan C. Voell, 69, of Cape Haze, Fla., passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in Venice, Fla.

Joan was born Sept. 5, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of the late George and Beatrice (Van Lare) Zettinig.

Joan is survived by sons, Steve (Toni) and Scott (Julia), all of Three Lakes, Wis.; granddaughters, Cara, Kylee and Katie, also of Three Lakes; nephews, Tim Smeltzer of Illinois and Andy Smeltzer of Arizona; stepchildren, Jane Eubanks, Charlie and Tom Voell; stepgranddaughter,

Dorothy A. Walin

Dorothy A. Walin of Minocqua died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Our Home K Care in Minocqua. She was 89.

Mrs. Walin was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Illinois, the daughter of David and Anna (née Carlson) Borg.

She was a professional dog groomer and show judge, and she owned and operated The Velvet Bow in Hinsdale, Ill.

She published a nationally recognized book on pet grooming,

Barbara Anne Zellner

Barbara Anne Zellner passed on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, Wis., after fighting a courageous battle against cancer.

Barb was born in Eau Claire, Wis., on March 14, 1934, to Mr. and Mrs. Max­well (Helen Walrath) Ewald.

Barb graduated with the Class of ’52 from Eagle River High School. Over the years she organized many of her class reunions.

Bernice A. Cummings, a resident of Wauconda, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Wauconda Health Care Center. She was 92.

Mrs. Cummings was born June 13, 1921, in Eagle River to John and Kazimera (nee Judis) Sarkauskas.

Her interests included  gardening, painting landscapes and spending time with her family.

Alan F. ‘Butch’ Harder

Alan F. “Butch” Harder of St. Germain and formerly of Kenosha died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013. He was 76.

He was born in Christie Oct. 21, 1937, the youngest son of the late Henry and Elsie (née Hediger) Harder. He was educated at and graduated from Neillsville High School and moved to Kenosha in 1959.

Mr. Harder served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1958.

Patrick D. McKeever

Patrick D. McKeever of Eagle River, Wis., passed away Dec. 18, 2013, in Sun City West, Ariz. He was 72.

Born March 26, 1941, in Pontiac, Mich., Pat was raised in La Crosse, Wis.

He was in his fourth year at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater when he met Joan Latta, whom he started dating. The two were married on Aug. 31, 1962, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past year.

Laverne L. Turnquist

Laverne L. Turnquist of Land O’ Lakes died Wednesday, Dec, 18, 2013, at Vining Villa in Bellingham, Wash. She was 97.

Mrs. Turnquist was born Nov. 6, 1916, in Three Lakes and later moved to Milwaukee where she attended Bay View High School.

After a few years, she relocated to Land O’ Lakes and worked at the Gateway Hotel switchboard. It was during this time that she met and later married Walter S. Turnquist.

Mary Tuckey Requa

Mary Tuckey Re­qua, of Phelps, Wis., died Dec. 16, 2013, at home. She was 65.

Originally from Lake Forest, Ill., Tuckey graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1966. She attended Marjorie Webster Junior College in Washington, D.C., and continued to reside in Maryland for 34 years.

Tuckey worked for VIVA, the organization that sold bracelets to remind Americans of the Vietnam POWs and for Close-up Foundation which brings high school students to D.C.

Joyce Ingram

Joyce Ingram, age 91, a lifelong resident of Eagle River, Wis., went to be with her Lord and Savior Dec. 13, 2013.

She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Fargo, N.D., to Lyle and Pearl Karenke.

Joyce was an active member of Community Bible Church in Eagle River, where she faithfully played the piano at all church services, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Ladies Mission Group.

She taught Bible classes to children for many years.
