A total of 251 complaints were entered by Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week.

The department reported at least eight car vs. deer accidents, three vehicle accidents, four requests for agency assistance, two requests for an ambulance, three animal problems, three attempts to locate, one burglary, four burglar alarms, four requests for citizen assistance, two reports of criminal damage to property, one disturbance, one domestic violence complaint, one fire, two instances of found property, one harassment complaint, five reports of hazardous conditions,

Green Bay man pleads not guilty
to charges in pharmacy burglary

A 23-year-old Green Bay man pleaded not guilty to four charges for his alleged involvement in the theft of drugs last May from Wall Street Pharmacy in Eagle River in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Jason A. Delebreau has been charged with burglary of a building dwelling, theft of moveable property, criminal damage to property and possession of narcotic drugs.

After Delebreau pleaded not guilty, Vilas Circuit Judge Neal A. Nielsen III set a pretrial conference for June 24 at 10:45 a.m. Delebreau’s $2,500 cash bond was continued.

Stevens Point man gets probation
for obtaining drugs through fraud

A 32-year-old Stevens Point man pleaded no contest and was found guilty of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, second and subsequent offense, in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

Ryan R. Jameson had three charges of possession of an illegally-obtained prescription dismissed in the plea agreement.

Vilas Circuit Judge Neal A. Nielsen III withheld sentence and placed Jameson on probation for 36 months. Conditions of his probation include: court costs plus DNA surcharge totalling $518 to be paid through his $5,000 cash bond; inpatient treatment at Telbrian

Man pleads no contest to charge
in Lac du Flambeau stabbing case

A 31-year-old Lac du Flambeau man, who had a charge of attempted first-degree homicide amended to injury by negligent use of a dangerous weapon, without a repeater enhancer, pleaded no contest and was found guilty in Vilas County Circuit Court last week.

James L. Peterson also pleaded no contest and was found guilty of charges of substantial battery and second-offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Repeater enhancers were removed from both charges as part of the plea agreement that averted a jury trial. A charge of
