The 37th annual Lutefisk and Swedish Meatball Dinner will be held Sunday, Dec. 8, at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Lake Luth­eran Church, located at 3675 Church Road in Con­over.

The menu will include lutefisk with drawn butter and/or milk gravy, Swedish meatballs in brown gravy, boiled potatoes, green beans amandine, cranberry sauce, beet pickles, lefse, Swedish rye bread, rolls, assorted pies and a beverage.

Reservations are required and payment will be collected at the same time. Cost of the meal is $16 for everyone age 10 and older, $6 for youths ages 5 to 10 and free for children younger than the age of 5.

To make a reservation, sign up Sunday mornings on the bulletin board, call Maxine Bickelhaupt at (715) 545-3026 or mail payment and reservations to Maxine Bickelhaupt, 2030 St. Louis Road, Phelps, WI 54554. Checks can be made payable to Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church.

Funds raised from the dinner will be used for scholarships to send youths to Fortune Lake Camp.

The dinner is open to the public and guests are invited to bring a friend. Seating is limited, so early sign-up is recommended.

In conjunction with the lutefisk dinner, the Social Ministry also will hold its bake sale Dec. 8. Donations are gladly accepted, with popular items being coffee cakes, bars, Christmas cookies, pies and quick breads.

Baked items must be brought to church Sunday morning to be priced. The bake sale will be held after church and continue into the lutefisk dinner.

In addition, the church's quilting group will offer four handmade quilts for sale.
