Land O’ Lakes Arts (LOLA) welcomes back award winning watercolor artist Dale Popovich to teach a watercolor painting workshop  Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Light and dark patterns of nature will be examined in order to build a successful painting. The painting will be done without a drawing and created by using light and dark passages of color and value. From that point on students will hone in on smaller passages to the final detail of the subject matter. Students will complete two watercolor paintings in this workshop.

Beginning to intermediate students will benefit from Popovich’s course. Supplies are needed and a list can be found on the website or by calling LOLA.

Cost of this adult class is $125 and the deadline for payment and registration is Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Also on the calendar is a Funky Wool Hot Pads course with artist Pattie Brill-Carrig Thursday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Using recycled materials, students will hand stitch and applique an 8.5-inch square table mat or hot pad. Students will choose from four samples of whimsical patterns to complete two or more hot pads.

This adult and teen class costs $55. All materials are supplied and no experience is necessary. Deadline for payment and registration is Thursday, Nov. 28.
