World class illusionist Reza will perform Saturday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Northland Pines High School auditorium.

The show is the final offering of the Headwaters Council for the Performing Arts’ (HCPA) current season and will feature ground-breaking grand scale illusions which have become the artist’s trademark, recently landing him a guest spot on the popular reality TV show “Penn and Teller: Fool Us.”

Reza Borchardt began making his mark on the world of illusion 25 years ago at the age of 7 after being inspired by a magic show in his hometown of Brookings, S.D. By age 14, he was performing for resorts and large corporations across the Midwest.

The once-young magician prodigy is one of the fastest rising stars in the industry today and has captured world-wide attention and a very loyal fan base with his innovative and engaging style.

More than just a magic show, Reza infuses state of the art production elements with masterful comedic timing, creating interactive and inspirational moments which connect deeply with his audiences. According to a spokesperson for the current tour, Reza’s greatest skill is his uncanny ability to communicate his performance art on such a personal level.

“Reza is intriguing, engaging and captivating. He isn’t just a magician. He is an entertainer,” said the spokesperson.

International illusionist Brad Ross was originally scheduled to perform on May 4, but recently had to cancel his remaining 2019 tour dates for medical reasons.  All season ticket holders as well as patrons  purchasing individual tickets for the Saturday show will be admitted using Brad Ross tickets, as new tickets will not be printed.

Individual tickets for the show cost $25 for adults and $10 for students age 17 and younger, and may be purchased at Eagle River Roasters, located at 339 W. Pine St. in Eagle River, or by calling (715) 479-7995. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of the performance beginning at 6:30 p.m. All seats are reserved seating.
