Anyone thinking about attending Nicolet can learn more about the college, its academic programs, and the careers graduates can pursue during College Visit Day on Friday, Feb. 15.

The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Lakeside Center on the Nicolet campus.

Those attending will be able to connect with a career coach to learn about mapping a plan for college, completing the application and paying for college.

Students will also have a chance to get a feel for the college’s labs and classrooms and meet with instructors.

“This is a great way for anyone to see what the college has to offer and see if Nicolet is right for them,” said Nicolet Director of Enrollment Erika Warning.

Those planning on attending are asked to RSVP at or call the college at (715) 365-4493.

Warning noted the college now offers many programs in the highly flexible Nicolet My Way format.

“Many students have jobs and families. Nicolet My Way allows students to fit college around those responsibilities. It allows students to attend college on their own terms as they set their own schedules on when they complete the coursework.”

Nicolet My Way can include several different formats. These include a combination of flexible open labs and online classes and also academic programs that can be completed entirely online.

Nicolet currently offers more than 60 different college credentials. These range from short-term certificates that can be earned in one semester to two-year associate degrees, which transfer to four-year campuses for students who have their eyes set on earning a bachelor’s degree.

“We see many students start by earning a short-term certificate and then use that credential to get a job in their field of interest,” Warning said. “They also continue to take Nicolet classes, often on a part-time basis, to earn a more advanced credential which paves the way for them to move up in their careers.”

Along with being more affordable than many other colleges, Nicolet also offers a full range of scholarships, grants and other financial aid opportunities to help students pay for their educations, Warning explained.

She also noted that 95% of Nicolet graduates responding to graduate follow-up surveys from 2013 to ’17 reported they were satisfied or very satisfied with their Nicolet education. Many academic programs also posted a 100% job placement rate in graduates’ fields of study.
