The Warehouse Art Center in Eagle River’s golf outing fundraiser, originally scheduled for May 19 but postponed due to rain and cold temperatures, has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 22.

The Warehouse is still seeking golfers looking to support the arts at this year’s tournament.

The format is a four-person, men/women mixed scramble. Cash prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and last-place teams.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Dinner, awards and raffles begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Warehouse. Cost is $75 per golfer. Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart and a steak dinner.

Thanks to Boat Sport Marina, Eagle River Ford and Track Side, golfers will have three chances to win a hole-in-one prize: a boat, a car or an ATV.

Thank-you event sponsors are Jensen-Akins Hardware & Appliance, Northern Art and Design, Peoples State Bank, RE/MAX Property Pros, SR Wood-Wind Enterprises Inc., WJFW Channel 12 and WRJO-FM 94.5. The Thank-you hole sponsors, who are too numerous to mention here, will be displayed on each tee box.

Registration forms are available online or at The Warehouse, located at 107 S. Railroad St. in Eagle River.

Meanwhile, the dedication of the new “Winter Studio” space will occur during the golf outing dinner.

Many area people and businesses contributed to the project of transforming the screen porch into a four-season room that began last fall, including donations of both supplies and labor.

The new space is being dedicated as the Winter Studio in honor of founding benefactors, Sandra and Robert Winter, whose consistent generosity has made The Warehouse Art Center possible.

Although the new space is operational for the summer, there is still much to do before the project is finished. Future plans include window treatments, insulation, more lighting, two additional fans, a tongue-and-groove ceiling, and a zoned heat source.

Anyone interested in helping to complete the project can call (715) 479-4060 and ask for Donna.
