Throughout April, Feed Our Rural Kids Inc. (FORK) will celebrate an open house on its website at

“We are excited to unveil our totally revamped and updated website,” said FORK President Perry Pokrandt. “To an organization like FORK, our website is our home. We have no brick and mortar facility. Our website is FORK.”

The site and its complete restructuring is a donation of Scott Bertz, owner of Web Work Life.

“Scott is known for creating website design and internet marketing strategies to help businesses to succeed,’ said Pokrandt. “We are grateful to have added Scott to our team.”

“FORK is working to bring our communities together to benefit area kids,” said Bertz. “Building them a more fully functional website was an easy decision to make.”

“Our new home speaks to this organization’s commitment to provide a professional purpose driven solution to childhood food insecurity,” added Pokrandt. “We are excited about the ability of our new platform to tell a bigger story.”

To celebrate this step forward, the FORK open house will provide all visitors a chance to win one of five $20 door prizes provided by Eagle River Roasters.

“Just register to win,” said Pokrandt.

FORK is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide nutritional support to children from food insecure homes within eastern and central Vilas County.

“Donations can be made on our new website at,” concluded Pokrandt.
