Alyce Marie Tomlanovich Polzin, fondly known as “Punk” among those who loved her, passed away quietly at her home in Athelstane, Wis., on Nov. 22, 2019. She was 73.

Alyce was born on Jan. 27, 1946, to John and Leona Tomlanovich, the first of nine siblings.

She grew up in Eagle River, Wis., graduating from Eagle River High School. Afterward, she moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where she married Ward Polzin. Later they made their home in Athelstane.

Alyce loved family gatherings, loved fishing with her brother, Ed, and snowmobiling with her brother, Tom.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ward Polzin; one son, David Kenny; her brothers, Ed, Tom, Mike and Adam Tomlanovich; and two sisters, Gayle Ayers and Lori Enhert; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Alyce was preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Leona Tomlanovich; one sister, Linda Schreck; and one brother, John C. Tomlanovich.

Although she is now comfortable in God’s arms, she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
