Amanda Petrovic  of Three Lakes Wis., passed March 21, 2021, at the age of 80.

She and her husband, Paul, operated Three Lakes Laundromat for the past 44 years.

Mandy, as she was known by all, was considered by her husband as the director of public relations. She was always able to strike up a conversation and make the customer feel welcome.

Mandy and Paul met in Argentina, where Paul served as a missionary for Jehovah’s Witnesses.

After returning from missionary service, Paul proposed via phone; her response was that she had to consult with her father. So the next day Paul was so happy to hear that he had agreed. She came to the U.S., where they were married in 1973. Amanda was multilingual, speaking English, Spanish and Italian.

She worked for international oil drilling and pipeline installation companies.

She especially enjoyed sharing her faith with Spanish-speaking people in the North Woods. She firmly believed that soon under the Creator’s direction all those who have passed away in death will be brought back to life on a paradise earth. In the meantime she would be in the Creator’s memory, and wait until He called.

One of her favorite scriptures was John 5:28, “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection of life.”

In the meantime, Mandy will be truly missed by Paul, the congregation, and all her wonderful customers.
