Candie Ann Long died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 at her home in Conover after a lengthy illness. She was 60.

She was born April 22, 1961, in Chicago, Ill. to Larry and Jane Rasmussen.

Ms. Long spent time residing in Chicago, Los Angeles, Calif., Florida, and Michigan, but was most at home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and northern Wisconsin.

Ms. Long was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Paul Rasmussen; one son, John Rasmussen; and one niece, Cortney Jones.

She is survived by her longtime partner, Gary Gnat; one daughter, Joeline Erlandson; one son, Joel Long; one brother, James (Francene) Rasmussen; one sister, Lari (James) Mackenzie; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life held in the spring. Details will be announced at a later date.
