Dorothy L. Borkowicz died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, at The Bridges nursing home in Appleton. She was 92.

Mrs. Borkowicz was born March 1, 1927, in Milwaukee, to Joseph and Anna Adam­ski.

She married Frank Bork­owicz on Feb. 8, 1947, in Milwaukee. 

Mrs. Borkowicz lived the last 30 years of her life in Eagle River where she was an active member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. 

She was a gifted pianist and volunteered hundreds of hours visiting nursing homes in Milwaukee playing for the residents. 

She continued that calling for nearly 30 additional years in retirement, performing with the Melody Maids in Vilas County at nursing facilities in Eagle River, Rhine­lander and Minocqua. 

She also was an active member of AMVETS Memorial Post 60 Ladies Auxiliary near Milwaukee. 

Mrs. Borkowicz was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; and four siblings, Joe, Jerry, Emily, and Betty. 

She is survived by one son, Ron (Jeanne) of Appleton; one daughter, Geri (Jeff) Ulatowski of Clover, S.C.; four grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
