Edna M. Sparks, age 86, of Eagle River, Wis., passed away peacefully listening to Elvis on Feb. 11, 2021, at her home.

Edna was born Aug. 23, 1934, to Joseph and Mary Grkovic and has spent her entire life in Eagle River.

She was married to William for 62 years until he passed in 2015. They spent many winters in Arizona which they loved immensely.

Mom loved to watch her boys, Bill and Joe, playing sports. In a total of six years of high school sports Mom and Dad never missed a football, hockey or baseball game, home and away.

Mom was passionate about her Brewers and Packers. She enjoyed years of USA Hockey and WAHA events and was beloved by many friends they made across the state and country.  Bill and Edna were fixtures at the Wisconsin Hall of Fame events.

Edna said many times how lucky she was to have so many good friends and family. As we all know, those who were fortunate enough to be around her, we were the lucky ones. Her infectious smile and laugh will be embedded with us forever.

Mom worked various jobs over the years, but her love was running the hockey shop the family started in 1970.

Her favorite hobby was garage sales with her girlfriends.

We have a huge void in our hearts. Our loss is Heaven’s gain; she is reunited with the love of her life already.

Edna is survived by sons, Bill (Ann), and Joe (Marlane); grandchildren, Will, Rob, Molly, Jake, Maria, Casey, Joe and Megan;.  12 great-grandchildren with number thirteen on the way (Megan).

We can’t express in words the gratitude to all you amazing friends and family for your kind words, love, and support of our sweet mom.

The Sparks family plans a summer celebration for Edna and will communicate as soon as possible.
