Edward Lester Numrich, a life-long resident of Eagle River, Wis., passed on to eternal life on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Minocqua Health & Rehab Center. He was 91 years old.
Edward was born June 8, 1931, in Rhinelander, Wis., to Henry and Sophie (Speiss) Numrich. He married Carol Teufert of Conover, Wis., on Feb. 23, 1952.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; one son, Blaine; his parents; sister, Ruth Scharf (Joe); and brother, Herb (Jane).
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Meyer of Rhinelander; two sons, David (Debra) and Eric (Carol) both of Eagle River; grandsons, Michael (Karina) Slizewski, Daniel, and Joshua (Dakota); two great-grandsons; brother, Harold (Beverly) of Eagle River; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A member of Christ Lutheran Church all his life, he taught sunday school, and served on the church council and board of elders for many years. He was employed by Wisconsin Public Service Corp. in Eagle River for 43 years.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Christ Lutheran Church in Eagle River. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorials to Christ Lutheran Church and School would be appreciated.
