Iris Hendrickson (née Olejni­czak), 74, of Wausau, Wis., formerly of West Salem, Wis., unexpectedly passed away Nov. 11, 2020, at home.

She was born Feb. 15, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Ervin and Regina (née Hesiak) Olejniczak. 

Iris grew up in St. Germain, Wis., and was a 1964 graduate of Eagle River Union High School.

She had an infectious laugh and loved the outdoors, spending time working on projects around her home, cheering for the Packers, and being with her family, especially her grand­-

children.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, James Hendrickson; sons, Kevin (Mary) and Joel (Amy) Hendrickson and Thomas (Anne) Zak; grandchildren, Ella and Avery Hendrickson and Christopher Zak; brothers, Douglas “Tico” (Carilyn), Curt (Jan), and Alan (Cheryl) Olejniczak; sister-in-law, Jo Mary (James Seifert) Hendrickson; and many beloved nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erv and Reggie Olejniczak; mother- and father-in-law, Marian and Otto Hendrickson; brother-in-law, Daniel (Bette Jo) Hendrickson; and Jim’s aunt and Iris’ good friend, Bridget Pasholk.

A celebration of life may be held in the spring.
