James F. Arvey, 84, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at his home.

Born April 13, 1936, in Green Bay, Wis., to Walter and Eva Arvey.

Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather; truly the faithful servant.

He retired in 1989 from the Green Bay Fire Department at the rank of Captain. As a member of the first class of paramedics he went above and beyond serving Green Bay throughout his career.

Jim also served his country for four years in the U.S. Coast Guard. His service continued to family, friends and all those in need.

Living his dream of retirement for 32 years in the North Woods of Sugar Camp, Wis., hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends were his reward and the realization of goals most never get to accomplish.

Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia (Ginny); twin brother, Tom (Diane); sister, Mary Beno; brother-in-law, Daniel Reynen; two sons and daughter, Ken (Cindy) Arvey, Paul (Mary Jo) Arvey, and Mary Radtke (John Holewinski); seven grandchildren, Jacob, Hanna (Joe), Kevin (Brittany), Josh (Jessi), Allison (Patch), Adam, Megan; and also 10 great-grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Eva Arvey, and brother, Basil.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He will be forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 12, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Kunegunda Catholic Church in Sugar Camp. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
