James G. “Musky Jim” Chamberlin, age 91, a longtime resident of Eagle River, Wis., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019.

He was born in Mundelein, Ill., on April 12, 1928, to Herbert and Cora Chamberlin.

Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Korea.

He owned and operated Chamberlin Engineering in Libertyville, Ill.

Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and loved the outdoors.

Jim was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.  He also was a director of the Headwaters Chapter of Muskies Inc., member of the American Legion, Rotary Club and involved with the Boy Scouts.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Cora; siblings, Raymond, Bernice, Melvin, Beverly and Eston; and grandson, Jesse.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Numrich) Chamberlin; children, James M. “Mike” (Jacqueline Kritikos) of Palm City, Fla., Jane Chamberlin of Round Lake, Ill., and Jona (Steve) Hollis of Eagle River; grandchildren, Jeremy, Annie, Cora, Jamie, Jennifer and John; great-grandchildren, Alex, Brandon, Christina, Rachel, Nila, Colton, Alayna, Alyssa and James. 

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle River.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church or Headwaters Chapter of Muskies Inc.
