Jerry E. Hasenberg Jr., of Suring and formerly of Eagle River, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 1, 2021. He was 47. 

Mr. Hasenberg was born July 17, 1973, to Gerald Sr. and Patricia (Kulig) Hasenberg.  

He received a degree in Natural Resource Management from UW-Stevens Point.  

After college, he began his career as an arborist, working various jobs throughout the years.  

Mr. Hasenberg married Vanessa Giese Aug. 22, 2020, and became stepfather to her three children. 

He played many sports throughout his life, including hockey, baseball, softball, basketball and football, and still holds the record for 300-meter hurdles in track.  

Mr. Hasenberg also enjoyed golfing, playing bags, and most recently, curling with the Appleton Curling Club.  

Mr. Hasenberg was preceded in death by his grandparents; and one cousin, Taylor Nicole Bosley. 

He is survived by his wife; three stepsons, Garret, Carson, and Creed; his parents; two brothers, David (Ivana), and Glen (Kayla); his grandmother, Bernie Hasenberg; mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Steve Giese; brother-in-law, Jer­emy Giese; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren and other relatives.

Services were already held.
