Jerry Numrich, age 61, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Eagle River, Wis., passed away unexpectedly at his home.

He was born to Herbert and Jane Numrich in Rhinelander, Wis., on March 16, 1959.

Jerry’s most important job to him was being a loving dad to his sons, whom he treasured dearly.

Jerry will be best remembered by his family and friends for his loving and kind ways, his smile, his sense of humor, his zest for living life, and his love for the Packers, the Brewers, and the mountains.

He was well-respected for his work ethic and dedication to his job and co-workers. He made long-lasting relationships because of these qualities.

Whether you knew him your whole life or just met him, he took the time to get to know you and made you feel special. “He never met a stranger.”

Jerry is survived by his treasured sons, Ryan Numrich (Jeanette) of Chicago, Ill., and Rob Numrich (Megan) of Fort Worth, Texas; his granddogs, Goblin, Rosie and Scarlett; his siblings, Vicki White (David), Herb Numrich (Jay), Janlee Goska (Gary), Jon Numrich, and Judee Tamminen (Brian); sister-in-law, Annette Numrich; brother-in-law, Harold White; many special nieces, nephews and cousins; and Laura King, mother of his sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Mike Numrich.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be sent to Warm The Children, c/o Vilas County News-Review, P.O. Box 1929, Eagle River, WI 54521, to honor his memory.

Fly high over your beloved mountains and smooth sailing. We love you and will miss you.
