John A. Mayack, age 74, of Iron River, Mich., passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.  

He was born in Rhine­lander, Wis., on Aug. 12, 1945, to parents, Andrew and Estelle Mayack.

He grew up in Eagle River, Wis., alongside his two brothers, Edward and Alan. He attended St. Peter’s Catholic School and graduated from Eagle River Union High School.   

After school, John was a dedicated member of the farming staff at Felix Zeloski’s Farm, located in Eagle River, for many years.  When he relocated to Iron River, he worked at Angeli's Central Market before retiring.

John was a people person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the casino, playing cards and games. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching the game. 

John is survived by his brother, Alan Mayack; niece, Heather (Joseph) Ehrlich; great-nieces, Andrea Bauer and Aubrey Ehrlich; great- nephews, Masson Bauer and Jordan Ehrlich; and dear friend, Mary Rae.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Estelle Mayack; brother, Edward Mayack; and sister-in-law, Tami (Alan) Mayack.

His genuine personality, kindness, being a great conversation holder, and a laugh to remember, will be dearly missed by many.

Interment will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Eagle River. Private services will be held.
