Josephine G. Crise Bodie, passed into our savior’s arms on Jan. 8, 2022.

She was born July 8, 1942, and was 79 at the time of her passing.

She was born in Canoga Park, Calif., to parents Hilario and Lucy Gonzales.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Bodie; sons, Daniel and Aaron; mother, Lucy; sister, Angelita.

She and her late husband, Harold Crise, were married for 40 years before his death.

Josie graduated from Canoga Park High School and went to work in then the thriving aerospace industries in the Los Angeles area.

She learned her trade well and became a lead electronic assembler for a number of companies specializing in the building of highly sophisticated electronic systems used in aircraft and spacecraft.

At the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) she helped manufacture electronics used in the rovers sent to Mars and in spacecraft to the outer planets.

She retired in 2010 and in 2012 moved to Eagle River, Wis., with Charles Bodie whom she met through work.

They were subsequently married and lived together in a happy life in Christ.

Josie was a devoted Christian and an enthusiastic volunteer at church functions.

She was a member of the Three Lakes Evangelical Free Church in Three Lakes, Wis.

She was active in bible study groups and volunteer work sponsored by the church.

A funeral service was held on Jan. 17, 2022, at the Three Lakes Evangelical Free Church.

Josie will be interned in Three Lakes Cemetery when weather conditions allow.
