Kathleen Mae “Kay” Patricelli, 92, of Fairview, N.C., passed away from pancreatic cancer on Feb. 11, 2020, in Asheville, N.C.

She was born in Bessemer, Mich., to Helen and Isaac Turner on May 28, 1927.

She married the now late Celestino “Pat” Patricelli in 1950.

They moved from the Chicago, Ill., area to Eagle River, Wis., in 1975. Until her retirement, she had worked at the Eagle River Hospital as an R.N. in the emergency room and became an E.M.T.

After Pat’s passing in 1993, she continued to live in Eagle River and was an active VFW volunteer, and volunteered with the St. Peter’s Church Thrift Shop.

In 2015, she moved to be with her daughter, Celeste, and son-in-law, David in Asheville, where she volunteered with the Friends of Pack Library. Reading, feeding the birds and going to the casino continued to be her favorite hobbies until the end.

A graveside memorial service will be held at St. Peter Cemetery in Eagle River on July 23, 2022, at 10 a.m.  Father Ron Serrao will officiate. Family, friends and co-workers are welcome to attend and share with us this long-delayed memorial service to celebrate her life and many achievements.
