Keith Lodholz of Eagle River died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, after a battle with COVID-19. He was 72. 

He was born Nov. 17, 1948, in Appleton, to Herman and Rosella Lodholz. 

After graduating from high school in 1967, he received an undergraduate degree in psychology from UW-Eau Claire before attending graduate school at UW-Stout where he received a master’s degree in school psychology.  

After graduation, Mr. Lodholz went on to become a school psychologist for 34 years in the Northland Pines School District.

In 1990, he met his long-time significant other, Helga Low.

After retiring, Mr. Lodholz spent his time fishing, as well as deer hunting.

Mr. Lodholz was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his partner of 30 years, Helga; one daughter, Katie (Danny) Hinrichs; one son, Patrick; three stepsons, Ben (Betsy) Low, Andy (Melissa) Low, and John (Aretese) Low; one brother, Larold (Yvonne Cook); and 14 grandchildren. 

A private service will be held for immediate family. A celebration of life will be planned in the future. 

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship is being established in Mr. Lodholz’s name to Northland Pines High School. Contributions can be sent to Helga Low, P.O. Box 1172, Eagle River, WI 54521.
