Kenneth Leal, a resident of Three Lakes, Wis., passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021.

He was born in Chicago, Ill., on October 17, 1926, to George and Mabel Leal. 

Ken grew up in Wilmette, Ill., and graduated from New Trier High School.

He proudly served the U.S. Army during World War II.

Ken had a long career with the Milwaukee Road Railroad, taking an early retirement to build his dream home in Three Lakes. 

Ken’s life partner and best friend, Marge Beckman, resided with him in a lakefront property, fulfilling Ken’s life dream.

He loved his life. Ken spent his summers on the water, his winters on a snowmobile, and the time in between maintaining his home and property, making it the favorite destination for his family.

Ken was known for his infectious smile, contagious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit. 

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mabel Leal; brother, George Leal; and sister, Beatrice Jeracki.

He is survived by his loving companion, Marge Beckman; daughters, Patricia (Dave) Wolfgram and Susan (Rick) Beane; grandkids, Trevor (Franki) James, Kelly Anderson, Tessa and Cooper Wolfgram, Ashley (Nate) Weigle, and Dustin Beane; five great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and long-time friends. 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
