Merry Lee LaChance entered into eternal life on Feb. 9, 2021. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her daughter, Jeana, and son-in-law, Brett, were by her side.

Merry was born on Dec. 1, 1952, in Phelps, Wis., to John and Ruth LaChance.

After graduating high school, she went to airline school in Minneapolis and made a best friend for life, Ginger.

She then moved to Kenosha, Wis., and spent a few years there where she had her one and only daughter, Jeana. Shortly after, she moved back to her childhood roots in Land O’ Lakes, Wis., to build a home on Forest Lake where she would raise her daughter.

After retiring from a successful career as a real estate agent and broker in the beautiful northwoods of northern Wisconsin, she was able to fulfill her dreams of traveling to destinations including Arizona, California, the beautiful island of Maui and Disneyworld with her family.

Merry was a dedicated mother and grandmother (Gaga) first and foremost. She treasured every moment with her closest loved ones.  Times spent lying on the hammock on a beautiful summer day with her granddaughter, Nevaeh, were the simplest yet most treasured moments of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeana (Brett) Leonard; granddaughter, Nevaeh Leonard; brother, Jack LaChance Jr.; Tom (Cindy) LaChance; Lorraine (Daniel) Thompson; and mother, Ruth LaChance.

There will be no service. Her immediate family and closest friends will have a celebration of life and scattering of ashes in the late spring or early summer, when the birds are chirping and flowers are in bloom.
