Patrick Colin McKeever, 52, was named after his father, but everyone knew him as Colin.

Born May 29, 1968, in La Crosse, Wis., and soon adopted by Patrick D. and Joan McKeever. Colin was the middle child in a loving home along with siblings, Erin and Sean.

After moving from Muskego with his family in 1979, Colin would spend much of his life in Eagle River, Wis.

Though he would later live in Florida and Arizona for some time, it was Wisconsin that he called home. It was here that Colin began his interests in landscaping, home improvement and cooking.

He enjoyed the creativity and precision involved in making flower beds, designing tile patterns, faux-finishing walls, and dicing up the perfect pico de gallo. He also became quite the avid golfer.

To those he loved, and even to casual acquaintances, Colin was a tireless helper. He wouldn’t hesitate to place his life on hold to assist someone who needed his skill or company.

When his father died in 2013, Colin made sure that his mother didn’t have to tend to her difficult home and lawn maintenance needs alone. Even as his health eroded in recent years, and though he would have to travel from his home in Milwaukee, her concerns remained a top priority.

Colin left this world on the morning of Aug. 10, 2020.

He is survived by his mother; his two siblings; his extended family; and a great many friends and admirers.
