Phillip R. Verstoppen of Owen and formerly of Clearwater Lake, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen under hospice care. He was 67. 

He was born Sept. 1, 1952, to Robert and Martha (née Lamaitre) Verstoppen.  

He graduated from Three Lakes High School. 

Mr. Verstoppen was a self-employed logger for many years. 

He enjoyed collecting and driving muscle cars.

Mr. Verstoppen was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by one daughter, Crystal Verstoppen; one granddaughter, Deliah; two brothers, Jim and John (Laurie); and two sisters, Lavina Satelo and Mary (Joe) Simac; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
